Robert Downey Jr. brings the legendary detective to life as he has never been portrayed before. Jude Law stars as Holmes’ trusted colleague, Watson, a doctor and war veteran who is a formidable ally for Sherlock Holmes. Rachel McAdams stars as Irene Adler, the only woman ever to have bested Holmes and who has maintained a tempestuous relationship with the detective. Mark Strong stars as their mysterious new adversary, Blackwood. Kelly Reilly will play Watson’s love interest, Mary.

Acting good. Visually interesting. Fight scenes too long.

this movie would do Arthur Conan Doyle proud from the opening scene to finally….it is one of the best put together cast and script, just enough of different genres to compliment but not over do it……recommended to all

Totally awesome…Took my wife to see. Had second thoughts about whether she would like it. We both loved it. Best movie by far I’ve seen in years. Have only bought a couple of movies once they come out on dvd including Patch Adams. We will definitely be buying and watching again. Can’t wait for the sequel. A truely must see. Fight scenes masterful.
Good Show! Suspense, dark humor, action, dancing girls would have just gotten in the way. I am a Holmes fan, have read all but two of the books, a really well done depiction of the era, great casting. 3 and a half out of 4 stars. Lord of the Rings trilogy is the only 4 I have seen in quite a while.
